The Dare

The Hebrew of ancient times, Daniel was known for his devotion to God despite life threatening circumstances.  While in captivity of the Babylonian Empire, Daniel and his three friends were given meats and wine that had been offered to pagan gods. They refused to eat food offered to idols and chose to eat only vegetables.  A 10 day test convinced the guard that they were healthy and fit to serve.  The four men were blessed by God and grew in favor of the Babylonian King.  Daniel was also thrown into the Lion's den for praying to God 3 times a day but he was kept safe by a guardian Angel.  God also blessed Daniel to be able to interpret dreams as well as dreams about the future.

The Dare:
  •  Do not eat any meat for 10 days.  During each meal (3 times a day) , give God thanks and ask for wisdom.
  • Journal what you eat each day and every morning write down any dream details you remember.
  • The money that would have been spent on meat during the 10 days can be given to missions for hungry people.
